I've never made a blanket statement about it being prestigious in general. I've also never suggested that it's not a pain in the ass. Is there someone else who says it's prestigious? If you're concerned with getting somewhere reliably you take the subway, period. I will admit taking buses occasionally when I had lots of time on my hands.
